Description
NEW GM VATS Resistors for Bypassing Ignition Key
Lead Length: A little over 1 inch on each side and sturdy
Works on a wide range of GM models and years, too many to list but includes Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet (Chevy), Oldsmobile, Pontiac
I've used it on a 1994 Firebird to bypass a worn out ignition cylinder and it works well
Could also have other applications for electronics
Officially there are 15 VATS keys with a different resistance for each of them
This listing has 17 resistor options available because there's an extra one between 4 and 5 and between 14 and 15
Instructions
Use a multimeter to check the Ohms of the chip in the VATS key
Choose the Resistor(s) that most closely matches the Ohms of the VATS key
If the Ohms are unknown, each resistor can be tried until the correct one is found
